Hi, I’m Jenn. When I was in 6th grade, I won a poster contest for D.A.R.E. Now, don’t let that fool you into thinking I’m a square because I most certainly am not. What I am is a designer and a storyteller. That is the lens I see the world through and the way I communicate. I believe design has the power to inspire change and drive people to action.
I studied graphic design in school and thought I would go on to work for an ad agency or boutique studio, but life had other plans for me. A tragic event changed my trajectory and I found myself gravitating toward nonprofit and social justice work after college. I ended up in jobs that required me to learn how to communicate with audiences of various sizes through writing, public speaking, and facilitation. Turns out, that involves design, too! In early 2018 I started taking silversmithing classes to feed my need for a new creative outlet. I immediately fell in love with the process of designing and fabricating jewelry, and haven’t put down the torch and jeweler’s saw since.
As you peruse the pages of this website, you will see examples of my visual design work, but I also do work in research and communications, education and instructional design, and training, with much of my experience focusing on violence prevention. I am passionate about using my skills to help people tell their stories and impact social change. If you’d like to connect and learn more about me and my work, send me an email!
